This “monthly-view” calendar shows all the TreCC events and also other fixtures that involve the Pirkkahalli ground. (i.e. other clubs’ matches, etc. – e.g. Vaasa & TEagles) Indoor cricket (formerly also at Hatanpään koulu, TAMK [calendar]) is also shown, as are Finnish, Indian, Christian & Islamic calendar events.

ACTIVITIES

Training, and times

Summer training typically starts in early May at our current home ground in Sorsapuisto (see Maps), and usually takes place every Thursday or Friday from 17:00-20:00 (and sometimes also Wednesdays) right up until mid-September. See EVENTS

Winter indoor training typically starts in January. Check our calendar for the latest schedule. Note: It is important to get there early enough to best make use of the precious minutes! (Cost: only 2 EUR each!) See EVENTS

Coaching & introductory courses

We are also happy to arrange Introductory Cricket Courses at local schools (see also our KidsCricket), and can also provide basic coaching to adults. Just contact us !

Umpiring & Scoring courses

Want to learn more? Cricket is a fascinating game, and there is a lot to learn… “behind the scenes”.

We are also happy to arrange Umpiring & Scoring Courses – refresher courses as well as for beginners.

Other activities

Throughout the Summer, on weekends for which no FCA league matches are scheduled, we hope to play either friendly matches against other FCA league & development teams or even internal TreCC social matches. This is an excellent opportunity for newcomers and social members to come along and get acquainted with the Tampere Cricket Club, and either just learn about, or actually play, the wonderful game of cricket.

Make sure you try to time your visit to include our famous lunch. 🙂

We have also been participating in the:

Turku indoor tournaments,
SKK six-a-side competitions,
Spirit of Cricket weekend activities

and have even hosted the “Saumur Strays” touring team and the first ever women’s match in Finland against the SKK Ladies in 2002 ! In 2005, we also made a tour to Stockholm to visit Jinnah CC (the 2005 Swedish champions!). The Earlham Village Cricket Club (Norwich, England) visited us in 2006.
